Hello!  I'm Kristen Broyles, a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, also known as a CPCS. I'm thrilled about the chance to guide and foster the development of emerging counselors in the field. I feel passionately about being able to facilitate learning and support the growth of new professionals in the counseling community. ​Allow me to share some insights into by background, credentials, and approach: ​

 

Education:

Master's degree in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia completed in 2013

Licensure:

Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia.

Supervision Training and Certification:

Completed specialized training in clinical supervision methodologies, practices, and ethical standards and completed all steps required to obtain certification.

Adherence to Ethical Standards:

Committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in counseling and supervision.

Adheres to ethical guidelines and legal regulations relevant to the practice of counseling.

Continuing Education:

Regularly engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to the field of counseling and supervision.

Experience:

 

15 years working in the mental health field, working in a diverse range of settings including:

  • Acute Inpatient Care (both mental health and substance abuse)

  • Partial Hospitalization Program

  • Intensive Outpatient Program

  • Traditional Outpatient Counseling in a Private Practice setting.

  • Owning and Operating a Private Practice.

 

Approach:

 

Integrated Approach utilizing:

  • CBT and Humanistic Therapy

  • Trauma Informed Therapist trained in EMDR

  • Treats clients aged 14-65​​
