I am happy to be able to provide two master's level internships in counseling per semester. Your internship is a crucial component of the training process for aspiring counselors. This internship provides students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge, develop practical skills, and gain hands-on experience in a real-world counseling setting.

Supervised Clinical Practice:

You will engage in supervised counseling sessions with clients under the guidance of a licensed supervisor.

This hands-on experience allows you to apply counseling theories and techniques in a real-world context.

Client Interaction:

You will work directly with clients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing counseling services.

Interactions may cover a wide range of issues, including mental health, relationships, career, and personal development.

Case Management:

Interns often participate in case management tasks, including maintaining client records, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Learning how to organize and manage caseloads is a crucial aspect of the internship.

Collaboration with Professionals:

You will collaborate with other mental health professionals

This collaboration enhances your understanding of different therapeutic approaches.

Supervision and Feedback:

Regular supervision sessions with a CPCS are a key component of the internship.

You can expect to receive constructive feedback on your counseling skills and professional development.
